Location: Canada – Remote

Domain/Industry: Insurance

Year of Experience: 10 Years

++Job Description:++

We are seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer who excels at the intersection of Process Management and Technical Automation. Unlike a traditional infrastructure role, this position requires a candidate who can refine how we utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) to manage the software development lifecycle. You will be responsible for standardizing our Sprint ceremonies through ADO Boards, creating executive-level visibility via Dashboards, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities

  • ADO Governance & Work Management: Audit and optimize the use of Azure Boards. Standardize work item types, sprint cadences, and backlog management across teams to ensure consistency.
  • Reporting & Visibility: Design and maintain advanced Azure Dashboards and Analytics views to track velocity, cycle time, and deployment health.
  • Pipeline Engineering: Architect and manage scalable YAML-based CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, and deployments.
  • Process Standardization: Act as the ADO subject matter expert to establish “Best Practices” for branching strategies, pull request workflows, and sprint tracking.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Scrum Masters andուղ Product Owners to translate project management requirements into functional ADO configurations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Deep ADO Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of Azure DevOps Services, specifically Azure Boards, Repos, and Pipelines.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Proven experience building custom queries and dashboards to provide actionable insights into team productivity.
  • Automation: Strong proficiency in YAML, PowerShell, or Bash for pipeline automation.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Familiarity with Terraform or Bicep is a plus.
  • Agile Proficiency: Solid understanding of Scrum/Kanban methodologies and how they map to ADO tooling.
  • Experience: 4 years in a DevOps or Build/Release Engineering role with a heavy focus on Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
