Job summary

Elk Valley Resources (EVR) is seeking a Data Developer II to join our Data Platform team in Canada. Reporting to the Supervisor, Data Platform, you will build and optimize data pipelines, model data, and enable data-driven decisions using Azure technologies.

Applicants should have a degree in CS/CE and hands-on experience with Azure, ETL, SQL, and programming languages (C#, Python). A collaborative, cross-functional mindset and strong problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, CE or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with Azure or other cloud platforms, relational DBs and ETL.
• Proficient in C#, .NET, Python and SQL.
• Experience with Azure services including Databricks, Eventhubs, Functions and Service Bus.

Responsibilities

• Be a courageous safety leader and adhere to environmental rules.
• Deliver high-quality data software solutions aligned with architecture standards.
• Design, build and deploy data pipelines/products on Azure for operational data.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines frameworks in Azure DevOps.
• Solve complex problems with legacy systems to enable cloud data migration.
• Perform data validation and ensure data delivery, security, and quality.
