Job summary

Desjardins Group Data Platform Department is seeking an Azure Data Platform Administrator to roll out and operate the new Desjardins data platform in a cloud-first, IaC-driven environment. The role supports DevOps teams with environments, code deployment and shared production infrastructure in a dynamic, agile squad.

You will lead platform-related initiatives, design execution strategies, and ensure security best practices across compute, networking and data services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of six years of relevant experience in platform administration.
• Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Experience with Azure environments (Compute, networking, analytics, security, monitoring, DNS, Kubernetes).
• Experience in IaC (Azure DevOps, GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD and pipeline management).
• Experience managing Azure data platforms.
• Analytics experience.
• Proven experience in roles that require managing complex or urgent situations.
• Professional experience in fast-paced or high-pressure environments.
• Proven experience managing multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of French is required.
• Proficiency with scripting in PowerShell, Python or a similar language.
• Solid command of infrastructure (Proxy, firewall, Active directory, DNS, Telecommunications).
• Knowledge of security rules configuration and implementation (RBAC, ABAC, Policy).
• Knowledge of agile environments: Jira, Confluence.

The Desjardins Group Data Platform Department is part of the Data Foundation Administrative Department and is mainly responsible for implementing capacity to support the shift to a data-driven Desjardins. We’re responsible for implementing the Desjardins Group data platform (the foundation for the Desjardins data strategy) to ground our business practices in data and analytics. Our Platform Ops team is responsible for storing, maintaining, connecting and securing the platform that provides DevOps teams with what they need to do their job. As an Azure Data Platform Administrator, you'll be rolling out and operating the new Desjardins Group data platform. In a highly dynamic, agile multidisciplinary squad, the team is in charge of supporting the development teams with the implementation of environments, code deployment and shared production infrastructure. You’ll work in an Azure cloud environment with targets based on infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration as code (CaC) and continuous deployment (CD). If you’re resourceful and you enjoy transformational projects and new technologies, this role is for you! More specifically, you will be required to:
