JD Smith is seeking two experienced AZ Flatbed Drivers to operate from our Vaughan, ON yard. The role runs a 6:00am shift, Monday through Friday, with employees paid as staff.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Dispatch, timely deliveries, and professional customer interaction. Benefits include a company-paid plan after waiting, overtime after 44 hours, and a signing bonus of 1,000 CAD after six months of continuous employment.

Formación

• AZ Flatbed driving experience required.
• Minimum one year verifiable flatbed experience.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate with Dispatch to keep delivery times accurate.
• Notify Dispatch of delays or issues impacting pickups or deliveries.
• Use route navigation apps and local knowledge to deliver on time.
• Interact professionally with customers during deliveries.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections at start/end of shifts.
• Ensure tractor/trailer safety and compliance inspections are performed.

Full job description

JD Smith is looking for two experienced AZ Flatbed Drivers to work out of our transportation yard in Vaughan, ON. The shift for this position is 6:00am, Monday through Friday.

Please note: We pay all our drivers as employees.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with Dispatch to maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery time.
• Advise Dispatch immediately when conditions change and an assigned load cannot be picked up or delivered on schedule.
• Use route navigation apps and knowledge of area to deliver packages to customers on time
• Interact with customers in a professional manner.
• Complete all paperwork as required.
• Complete thorough pre- and post-trip inspections at the start and end of each shift.
• Monitor service and safety inspection requirements of assigned tractor and trailers.
• Keep vehicle clean and litter free.
• Drive safely at all times.
• Adhere to company speed policies.
• Report any incidents or accidents immediately.
