GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking full-time AZ/DZ Emergency Response Operators to support our liquid line out of the Thunder Bay, Ontario site.

The successful candidates must be trained on manual transmission and will primarily collect various liquid and solid hazardous waste from customer sites. Responsibilities include responding to environmental spills, clandestine lab decommissioning, highway incidents, weather events, and coordinating with police, fire, EMS, Environment Canada, and other

Qualifications

Valid AZ and/or DZ licenses required.
Knowledge of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
Must be able to operate manual transmission.
365 day availability and on-call shifts required.
Experience with vacuum trucks is preferred.

Responsabilités

Respond to environmental and industrial spills.
Decommission clandestine laboratories.
Handle highway incidents involving tractor trailers and chemical leaks.
Participate in train derailments involving hazardous chemicals and safety planning.
Engage in marine operations for fuel spills and boom deployment.
Respond to weather events and ensure safety reporting.
Conduct chemical assessments and provide advisory services.
Collaborate with police, fire, EMS, and other stakeholders.
Collect hazardous and non-hazardous goods; complete required reporting.
