AWS Solution Architect Toronto Canada (Hybrid / Remote Options)

Role Overview

We are hiring an AWS Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of cloud-native solutions for one of our premier consulting clients. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise and consulting skills with the ability to engage business stakeholders and translate requirements into scalable AWS architectures.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end AWS cloud architecture across data applications and integration layers.
• Design solutions leveraging AWS core services (EC2 ECS / EKS Lambda API Gateway S3 RDS DynamoDB).
• Architect and oversee data pipelines analytics platforms and real-time streaming systems .
• Provide technical leadership on cloud migration modernization and optimization initiatives.
• Establish cloud security compliance and governance frameworks .
• Guide development teams on DevOps CI / CD containerization and automation practices .
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to ensure solutions align with organizational goals.

Required Qualifications

• 8 years of IT experience with at least 3 years as a Cloud / Solution Architect .
• Strong AWS expertise with certifications (e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Professional / Associate ).
• Proven experience in designing enterprise-scale AWS solutions .
• Hands-on knowledge of containers and microservices (ECS EKS Docker Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of networking IAM VPC and security best practices .
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform CloudFormation CDK).

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with data engineering / analytics (Redshift Glue Kinesis EMR).
• Knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures .
• Consulting background with experience in stakeholder engagement and solution framing .
