Job summary

Cognizant is hiring an AWS Architect in Halifax, NS, offering a hybrid work model. You will design, deploy, and optimize scalable cloud systems using AWS services, automate infrastructure with Terraform, and manage configurations and patches across Windows and Unix environments.

Role: AWS Architect

Key Responsibilities

• AWS Architecture — Design, deploy, and optimize scalable cloud solutions using EC2, Lambda, SSM, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and related services.
• Infrastructure Automation — Build and maintain IaC using Terraform with reusable modules, state management, and CI/CD integration.
• Configuration & Systems Management — Implement automated patching, configuration, and remote management using AWS SSM.
• Version Control — Manage code repositories, branching strategies, and release workflows using Git.
• OS Administration — Perform system administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting across Windows and Unix platforms.
• Security & Compliance — Implement cloud security controls, network segmentation, encryption, and compliance standards.
• Monitoring & Optimization — Set up observability dashboards, alerts, and performance tuning for cloud workloads.
• Stakeholder Collaboration — Work closely with architecture, DevOps, and delivery teams to ensure smooth deployments and operational excellence.

Compensation:
