Job summary

A leading automotive manufacturer in Windsor, Ontario is looking for candidates for a full-time production role. This position requires a minimum of 2 years experience in production lines and a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree and supervisory experience in unionized environments will be preferred. The role will involve working shifts and offers ample opportunity for advancement.

Job description

Minimum Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (CAEC)

Experience
  • 2+ years’ experience working in Production lines.
  • 1+ years’ experience working with and supervising unionized workforce and understanding of CBA (collective bargaining agreement)
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Availability to work in shifts (morning / afternoon / evening) as required.
Preferred Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required).

Experience
  • Experience in body shop, stamping, paint, subassembly, or machining preferred.
  • Safety and Quality experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and constraint management principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook).
  • Prior experience managing a unionized workforce.
  • Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining experience (specific to Power Take-Off).
  • Helium leak stand experience (specific to Power Take-Off).
  • Adept problem-solving and conflict management skills.
  • Effective organizational and administrative capabilities.
  • Note : This is a supplemental role (non permanent) but full-time hours are offered.
