Job summary

SAIT Youth Initiatives seeks a casual Aviation Maintenance Instructor to deliver the ASYS‑245 dual‑credit course for high school learners in Edmonton. You will prepare lessons, deliver lectures, and manage both theory and lab components in alignment with SAIT policies and safety standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Transport Canada AME license with at least five years of industry experience and a passion for working with junior high and high school students.

Qualifications

• Minimum two-year diploma from a recognized institution.
• Minimum five years of related industry experience.
• Licensed AME.
• Experience and genuine interest in working with junior high and high school youth.
• Dual‑credit teaching experience is an asset.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present information clearly.
• Strong commitment to delivering high‑quality instruction within established timelines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the ASYS‑245 dual‑credit course in alignment with SAIT policies and practices.
• Prepare and deliver lessons, lectures, assignments, quizzes, exams and demonstrations.
• Maintain accurate records for grading and attendance in theory and labs.
• Share attendance and achievement data with internal and external stakeholders per POPA.
