Reporting to the Director, Production Employees, the incumbent is responsible for the planning and execution of projects, and the coordination of material, financial and labour requirements for the successful completion of projects. He/she must act as a resource person for the client and is accountable for the quality, financial performance, and on-time delivery of projects by the team. He/she will be required to travel frequently to meet with clients, evaluations, and project follow-ups.

Your day will look like this:
  • Act as the project manager and project leader responsible for the project from its conception to its completion. Carry out regular follow‑ups on the progress of the projects assigned to him/her with the collaborators concerned (representative, technical team, STREAMING, etc.)
  • In collaboration with the specialized technical teams, validate the technical solution proposed by the representative and the composition of the technical team and make changes if necessary
  • Prepare the project plan and the execution of the different phases of the projects (design, technical preparation, installation, de‑installation): develop the work plan, the budget, the resource allocation, the schedule, and the delivery estimation
  • Act as Solotech's on‑site representative, coordinating on‑site preparation and ensuring that all phases of the project are completed on time
  • Ensure that the installation is in accordance with the client's expectations and technical and physical environment
  • At all times, maintain a high level of customer service and have excellent skills in explaining technical terms to customers when necessary
  • Control the quality of work performed according to Solotech standards
  • Act as a resource person to the client for any questions, comments or changes related to the project and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a high level of customer service
  • Ensure health and safety on site through training and prevention.
Your profile:
  • University degree or college diploma in project management or audiovisual or in a relevant field
  • While a minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar position is preferred, we are open to candidates with less experience who demonstrate strong expertise and skills relevant to this role.
  • Significant experience in technical management or event production management in the audiovisual, film or corporate sector
  • High level of technical expertise in the audiovisual field
  • High level of oral and written proficiency in both official languages
  • Mastery of R2 and Sketch Up software (an asset)
  • Basic knowledge of Autocad or Vectorworks software
  • Mastery of current Office suite software
  • Be able to travel frequently to clients and events at the international and local levels
  • Be available to work flexible hours
  • Be available during the day, evening, and weekends and on holidays depending on the project in progress.
