Job summary

ParaMed in Red Lake, Ontario, is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse to perform scheduled community visits and deliver compassionate, ethical nursing care within your scope of practice. You will assess patient needs, implement care plans, and document outcomes while building trusted relationships.

You’ll work with RNs, travel to patient residences in the designated area, and enjoy a part‑time schedule with every other weekend off.

Qualifications

• Registration with the CNO as a Registered Practical Nurse in good standing.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Experience in delivering community care is an asset.
• Willingness to travel to patient residences within designated area.

Responsibilities

• Participate in scheduled visits in the community to look after patient needs within your scope of practice.
• Provide ethical and safe nursing care.
• Use appropriate assessment tools/techniques to assess patients’ individual needs.
• Execute and continuously monitor care plans and adjust as required.
• Engage patients using a collaborative approach by building rapport and trust.
• Maintain and update professional patient records related to patient encounters and plans.
