Qualifications

Job description

Location: Fortescue’s Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.

Roster: 8D6R7N7R ex Perth

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure and maintain electrical hardware and network technology systems across our mobile assets fleet
  • Commission and calibrate the perception, positioning and autonomous haulage systems on various HME
  • Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs of integrated Caterpillar and Liebherr HME electrical systems
  • Ensure the setup and maintenance of our fleet management systems are optimised to deliver maximum fleet efficiency and meet Mine Plan requirements
  • Collaborate with internal and external department team members while ensuring compliance with Fortescue standards and policies
  • Undertake all activities in line with company safety policies and procedures
Qualifications and Experience
  • Australian recognised trade certificate in Mechanical, Auto Electrical or HV Electrical or Certification in Electronic Communications
  • Experience with Caterpillar MineStar products is essential, with Caterpillar Command experience being highly desired
  • Strong commitment to safety with 3 years’ experience working in a heavy mobile equipment mining environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP maintenance systems
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written), plus strong organisational and time management abilities
