Autism Services in Saskatchewan seeks a skilled automotive Technician with a Red Seal/Journeyman certificate to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong vehicle repair, maintenance, and mechanical knowledge, and can operate various hand tools and diagnostic equipment.

You will perform inspections, diagnoses, and repairs, including road tests and safety checks, using a range of hand and power tools. This is a full-time, permanent role with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Red Seal/Journeyman certification is required.
• SGI certification is an asset but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair vehicles and equipment using hand/power tools.
• Perform inspections and safety checks (digital-based inspections).
• Conduct road tests and road repairs as needed.
• Diagnose and repair transmissions, brakes, axles, differentials and drive lines.

Job description

We are seeking a skilled automotive Technician with Red seal trade/Journeyman Certificate to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background Vehicle repair, maintenance, and mechanical knowledge. This role involves working with various hand tools, repairs, maintenance. The Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and efficiency of our operations.

Our ideal candidate:

• SGI certified (asset)
• Red Seal trade/ Journeyman certificate (required)
• 5 + years of experience in the automotive industry
• Valid drivers license
• Ability to operate diagnostic tools is required
• Own tools
• Maintains and repairs vehicles and equipment and utilizes a variety of hand and power tools and equipment
• Performs overhaul, engine/ transmission replacement timing belt/chain replacement.
• Diagnoses and effects repairs of transmissions, clutches, front/rear axles, differentials, brake systems, drive lines, etc.
• Performs inspections and safety checks (digital based inspection)
• Teamwork Lending a hand / Asking for help with a problem.
• Perform a variety of skilled work not requiring the service of other licensed trades.
• Operate vehicles to move in and out of the garage, do road tests and road repair.
