Job summary

Lordco Auto Parts in Port Coquitlam is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician with a Red Seal certification. The role involves vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, with opportunities to assist in minor body work while sustaining safety and efficiency standards in a shop environment.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, proven troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Certificate in Automotive Service Technician.
• Minimum of five years of automotive service experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, electrical and electronic systems, brake systems, fuel, ignition, emission systems, drivetrain components, and HVAC systems.
• Experience reading automotive schematics and using diagnostic tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comply with workplace safety standards, including the Lordco Occupational Health and Safety program.
• Valid BC driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs

• Conduct road tests following safe driving practices
• Assist with minor body work, including removal and installation of components such as bumpers, fenders and doors
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Support fleet maintenance operations and contribute to team success
