Job Description : Fountain Tire Whitehorse is looking for a skilled and Licensed Automotive Service Technician to join our team!

Duties
  • Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer’s vehicle
  • Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
  • Completing approved service on customer vehicles
  • Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer’s performance specifications
  • Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups
  • Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
  • Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
  • Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
  • Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries
  • Other duties that apply

Job Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years experience and trade certificate is required
  • Licensed / Red Seal status in the Automotive Service Technician trade is / will be required
  • Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills required to provide mechanical service to our customers
  • A diagnostic specialist that enjoys keeping up with modern technology
  • The successful applicant will have strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to providing a superior customer experience
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory driver’s abstract from province of residence on an annual basis

  • Computer literate
  • A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
