Job summary

Dryden GM in Ontario is seeking an Automotive Service Technician with 5+ years of hands-on experience. The role requires inspecting engines, testing systems, and performing repairs on cars and trucks at the shop. You will estimate costs, advise customers, and prepare detailed reports of work performed.

Applicants must hold an Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent, plus Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification (or Red Seal). On-site work and strong diagnostic skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5 years or more experience as an automotive technician
• On site work at a physical location, no remote option
• Must hold automotive trade credentials listed in qualifications

Responsibilities

• Inspect motor in operation
• Review work orders
• Road test motor vehicles
• Test automotive systems and components
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components
• Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed
• Provide customer service
