Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics using computer systems.
• Repair and maintain car heating, air conditioning, and steering systems.
• Conduct visual inspections and tire repair/replacement.

Job description

At Midas, we are dedicated to providing quality services to customer vehicles in the areas of inspection, diagnosis, and repair, utilizing the expertise attained through years of automotive repair experience. You are currently registered as an apprentice in the province of Ontario.

We are looking for automotive technicians who can work independently as well as collaboratively with peers. We have a full-service facility and are seeking automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, including:

• Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
• Tire repair and replacement
• Car heating and air conditioning systems
• Steering and suspension systems
• Belt and hose replacements
• Radiator and engine cooling system repairs
• Battery, starting, and charging system services
• Brake repairs
• Muffler and exhaust system services
• Visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently and work well in a team environment
• High personal productivity
• Knowledge of and adherence to safety and environmental standards
• Experience with shop equipment such as lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools
• Provincial Certificate of Qualification
• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools and equipment (diagnostic scanners/tools preferred)
• Ability to service both import and domestic vehicles

Compensation: $15.00 - $28.00 per hour
