North Island Nissan in Campbell River, BC, is seeking a Red Seal Automotive Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles with high-quality workmanship and service.

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic and repair experience across various vehicle makes and models.
• Experience using computerized diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Strong understanding of automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
• Strong communication skills with both team members and customers.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed diagnostics to identify mechanical, electrical, and technical issues.
• Complete repairs and maintenance services according to Nissan and OEM standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance, including inspections, brake repairs, tire services, and system checks.
• Utilize computerized diagnostic equipment and stay current with evolving automotive technology.
• Ensure repairs meet manufacturer guidelines and maintain warranty compliance.
• Accurately document diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and parts used.
• Collaborate with Service Advisors to communicate vehicle findings and recommended repairs.
• Work closely with Parts, Service Advisors, and fellow Technicians to maintain efficient workflow.
• Test drive vehicles when required to confirm repairs and evaluate performance.
• Mentor apprentices and support a culture of continuous learning.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace while following all safety procedures.

About the Role

As a Red Seal Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles while delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent service.

Our shop supports a diverse range of work, including Nissan warranty repairs, customer-pay services, used vehicle reconditioning, fleet vehicles, and all makes and models. This provides our technicians with the opportunity to work on a variety of vehicles and continue developing their technical expertise.
