Job summary

A leading automotive solutions provider in Oshawa seeks an experienced Automotive Apprenticeship Program Coordinator/Supervisor to manage and promote the ASEP apprenticeship program. The role involves collaboration with government and colleges, technical training support, and requires a background in the automotive industry. Candidates should have at least 5 years of General Motors experience and a valid Red Seal certification. The position offers hybrid work with 3 days onsite.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of General Motors Automotive industry experience.
  • Preferred journeyman automotive technician with a valid Red Seal certification.
  • Knowledge of the Apprenticeship program (preferably ASEP).
  • Working knowledge of automotive systems, GM OEM experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and promote the ASEP apprenticeship program.
  • Grow the ASEP apprenticeship program recruitment through provincial and college relationships.
  • Support Product Service Training development and deployment.
  • Interface cross functionally within the company as required.
  • Travel to the U.S. for cross-functional activities.
