A leading automotive solutions provider in Oshawa seeks an experienced Automotive Apprenticeship Program Coordinator/Supervisor to manage and promote the ASEP apprenticeship program. The role involves collaboration with government and colleges, technical training support, and requires a background in the automotive industry. Candidates should have at least 5 years of General Motors experience and a valid Red Seal certification. The position offers hybrid work with 3 days onsite.
Location: Oshawa, Ontario, Canada (hybrid, 3 days a week onsite)
Daily Schedule/Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday
Travel Requirements: Travel as required, Michigan, and locally within Ontario and opportunity out of the provinces

Role Summary
Our client, a leading company in the Automotive Manufacturing sector, is currently seeking an experienced Automotive Apprenticeship Program Coordinator/Supervisor to manage and promote the apprenticeship program ASEP (Automotive Service Education Program).
Responsibilities include working with provincial governments and local Community Colleges, the candidate will advance the ASEP Apprenticeship program & recruitment strategies to support and strengthen the program.
Responsible for supporting the technical training development team through facility support and R&D. Planning & scheduling factory trained technicians including the deployment of technician curriculum. Training Center capacity planning, course deployment and level scheduling are core responsibilities supported by 2 direct reports.
Technical aptitude is essential to this role. The successful candidate must be highly motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal direction.
Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training required.
