JBS Food Canada ULC in Brooks, AB is seeking an Automation/Instrumentation Technician to join our main Brooks facility. You will troubleshoot, repair, calibrate and support equipment across production lines, including metal detectors, scales, printers, data devices and CCTV systems.

Role requires a diploma in instrumentation/electrical/automation with 1 year of applicable experience, PLC/VFD/C++ knowledge, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Minimum college diploma related to instrumentation/ electrical/ electronic/ automation.
• Minimum 1 year of Automation technician experience will be an asset.
• Knowledge on VFD, PLC, C++ programming & troubleshooting.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills as well as demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, programming and calibration skills.

Responsabilidades

A SHIFT AND B SHIFT AVAILABLE

You will:

Assist plant production by troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining and providing support for electronics including the following:

• Ability to read and understand technical manuals
• Calibrate and service Metal detectors and weighing scales
• Setup and do minor repairs on Foss meat analyzers
• Setup and repair numerous label printers and applicators
  • Install, configure and repair Production data collection devices (scales, terminals, barcode scanners etc.)
• Install and terminate data communication cables
• Install and maintain CCTV cameras
• Install, calibrate and troubleshoot instruments

Required:

• Minimum college diploma related to instrumentation/ electrical/ electronic/ automation.
• Minimum 1 year of Automation technician experience will be an asset.
• Knowledge on VFD, PLC, C++ programing & troubleshooting
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills as well as demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Strong troubleshooting, programming and calibration skills.
