Suncor Energy Inc. invites engineering students to join our team for 4–16 month terms beginning January 2027 across locations including Fort McMurray, Calgary, and Fort Hills.

You will gain meaningful experience, mentorship, and exposure to senior leadership while contributing to real projects in automation, software, or computer engineering. Applicants must be returning to full-time studies and enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program with electrical, software, or mechatronics focus.

Minimum Requirements

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate Engineering program with an electrical, mechatronics, software or computer focus
• You must be returning to full-time studies after the work term

Locations and Term Commitment

This is a/an 4, 8, 12, or 16-month term commitment beginning in January 2027. You will be asked to indicate your availability in your application. Potential locations for these student roles include Calgary, St. John's, Fort Hills (fly in fly out) and Fort McMurray (Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo). You will be asked to indicate your location preferences in your application.

Students who live and work in Fort McMurray are eligible for a cash allowance to address the cost of living and the remote nature of the region.
