Job description

Design, document and support the development of software for high precision and speed automation equipment including instrumentation, machine vision, robotics and mechanical drive systems. This role combines traditional PLC-based control with modern software development practices to deliver integrated automation solutions.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and implement PLC and HMI software to interface with automation systems.
  • Participate in design reviews to evaluate specifications, drawings and concepts ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with customer representatives to clarify system specifications and ensure requirements are met.
  • Support the testing, debugging and customer acceptance phases of automation projects.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including reports, manuals and supporting documents.
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and customers on control logic and software integration.
  • Provide technical support and training to internal teams and customers.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or any equivalent degree in a related technical field.
  • 2 to 3 years relevant experience in control systems design, preferably in the industrial automation or related field with exposure across various industries.
  • Knowledge of PLC and HMI programming, preferably with experience working with Allan-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff and Omron PLCs.
  • Knowledge of broad electrical and electronic principles.
  • Experience in the complex System Integration industry will be well regarded.
