Job summary

Agilus by Synergie is seeking an Associate Engineer, Computer Programming & Software in Ottawa, Ontario. You will help automate tasks, modify software for improvements, and build new data infrastructure from scratch within a Life Sciences setting.

You will develop features for metrology/automation software using C# and C++, leverage in-house libraries, and work with cross-functional teams to validate systems and documentation. Hybrid scheduling is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering with courses in Robotics, Computer Science, and Statistics.
• 1+ years in a similar role is ideal.
• Experience with UI design, software documentation, and validation.
• Knowledge of Optical Metrology (Spectroscopic Reflectometry, Chromatic Confocal, Triangulation, TOF) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop software features for automated manufacturing and metrology equipment control software (C# and C++).
• Integrate new equipment into factory automation environment and databases using in-house libraries.
• Support existing software, fix bugs, and add features across the business.
• Develop and validate inspection and measurement recipes for cameras/sensors.
• Write SQL queries and stored procedures to enable equipment integration.
