Join the Photonic Product Assurance Team within the Agile and Programmable Optical Transport (APOT) organization at Ciena. This dynamic team ensures the quality and performance of cutting-edge software and hardware, preparing solutions for seamless integration by our Software Integration and Product Verification team.

How You Will Contribute:

As a Software Tools Developer Intern, contribute to the development of innovative tools to analyze code scan results and apply machine learning algorithms to evaluate test results for leading-edge photonics software on the RLS platform.

• Automate JIRA raising and processing using tools such as Blackduck and Coverity.
• Design and develop data mining tools (backend and GUI) for hardening and robustness test result analysis.
• Implement test suites based on insights from data mining tools.
• Create Jenkins projects for automated test executions.
• Generate reports for streamlined human review.

The Must Haves:

• Enrollment in a degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of Python.
• Strong interest in AI and Machine Learning.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated, team-oriented, problem-solving mindset with the ability to multi-task effectively.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with JavaScript and BASH.
• Familiarity with design, development, and test tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, and Jenkins.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00
