Job summary

Airbus in Mirabel, QC, is seeking an Autoflight Systems Project Lead to guide the integration, development and testing of the next generation of A220 automated flight systems. The role emphasizes cross‑functional collaboration and adherence to certification standards, with opportunities for international mobility.

Ideal candidates have deep avionics expertise, leadership skills, and a proven track record in aerospace engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Software, or Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 15 years of experience in avionics systems design.
• Strong knowledge of engineering change management and system development processes.
• Understanding of industry regulations for avionics (e.g., DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754).
• Experience with guidance systems, autopilot, and autothrottle.

Responsibilities

• Define the development roadmap for the next generation of A220 automated flight systems.
• Lead technical integration, development, and testing from requirements through Entry Into Service.
• Manage priorities, schedules, and work packages to achieve maturity levels.
• Report status at milestone reviews and coordination meetings.
• Lead trade studies and adapt development strategies accordingly.
• Ensure cross‑platform technical alignment and supplier negotiations.
• Review V&V plans to meet certification objectives.
