Job summary

CSN Herbers Downtown in Edmonton, AB is seeking an Autobody Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition and deliver high-quality repairs that satisfy customers.

In this role you will collaborate with a team, follow OEM repair procedures, and participate in daily production meetings. This position offers a flat rate with the opportunity to earn an additional production bonus based on efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in automotive repair as an Autobody Technician.
• Journeyperson or Red Seal certification preferred.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for repair work.
• Preparing vehicles and vehicle parts for painting.
• Masking and sanding of vehicles and parts prior to painting.
• Buffing, wet sanding and polishing of painted vehicles.
• Attend all daily and/or weekly production meetings.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to diagnose and fix vehicle issues accurately.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with the role.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Overview/Responsibilities

• Assisting with disassembly and the overall production and mentor other technicians.
• An understanding of vehicle systems and technology and the need to look up and follow OEM repair procedures as well as pre and post-scan of all vehicles and calibrate modules as necessary.
• A team-oriented attitude with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.
• A demonstrated positive, work ethic and take pride in delivering a quality repaired vehicle
• The ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines.
• The ability to perform equipment audits to check for acceptable performance and detect faults and possible malfunctions.
