Job Description / Duties

• Process a variety of personal lines policies and intricate insurance contracts related to residential homes and personal belongings.
• Handle basic insurance transactions and auto policies.
• Manage contracts often including residential and recreational property, boats, personal pleasure craft, and jewelry under supervision of a senior licensed broker.
• Identify client needs and provide information on varying insurance packages such as risk coverage, benefits, and other policy features best suited to meet the client’s needs.
• Recommend and implement a client’s insurance coverage, premiums, and collect payment; promote Brio Insurance products and services.
• Respond to emergencies and assist clients with their claims.
• Utilize the Insurance portal to endorse and complete a policy.
• Write a new home owner policy.
• Service a 300K Personal lines book (using Manager discretion).
• Quote a minimum of 40 new home policies a year, as per management discretion.
• Support the achievement of department and organizational goals and actively participate in regular staff meetings.
• Maintain open communication and cooperation with other staff to ensure a friendly and efficient work environment.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to organizational policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security and fraud prevention.

Qualifications / Required Skills

• Completed Level 1 Brokers Insurance license.
• Working towards completing all MPI courses.
• General understanding of MPI/SMI transactions.
• MPI Lead must complete all requirements to hold the KAP position, if required by branch.
• Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to work in fast‑paced environment and perform well under pressure.
• Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions.
• Knowledge of Brio Insurance products and services.
• Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of risk management within the insurance industry.
• Proficient computer skills.
