Job summary

Assured Automotive, part of The Boyd Group, is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician in Canada to repair vehicle bodies, perform disassembly/reassembly, and work with frame equipment. The role emphasizes quality workmanship and continuous learning, with competitive compensation and strong benefits.

Qualified applicants typically have 3+ years of Auto Body experience, MIG/TIG welding skills, a valid driver’s license, and post-secondary auto body training. A Red Seal or 310B is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Post-secondary Auto Body Repair program or similar training.
• 3+ years Auto Body Technician experience.
• Welding experience MIG/TIG.
• Red Seal or 310B is preferred; I-CAR Gold Class in progress.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan.
• Repair damage to vehicle body panels.
• Disassembly and reassembly of vehicles.
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts and electrical components.
• Remove and install welded/sectioned parts.
• Assess and repair structural components of a vehicle.
• Use frame equipment for alignment and repair.
• Pursue ongoing learning to improve KPIs and performance.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan
• Repair damage to vehicle body panels
• Vehicle disassembly and reassembly
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories
• Remove and install welded and sectioned parts to a vehicle
• Assess and repair structural components of a vehicle
• Use of frame equipment
• Apply new knowledge and skills to ensure a high level of quality and productivity, which directly contributes to KPI’s (Sales/ CP/ EBITA/ BHPD/ NPS).
• Take responsibility for outcomes and continuously seek learning opportunities to improve performance

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Minimum 3 years of Auto Body Technician experience
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding)

Preferred Education and/or Experience

• Red Seal or 310B is preferred
• I-Car Registered (working towards Gold Class certification)

Other Requirements Travel, physical requirements, etc.

• You are able to lift up to 50 Lbs
• You have your own toolbox
• Valid driver’s license required

Compensation:

$90,000 - $140,000 per year
