The Wyant Group is accepting applications for a Journeyperson Auto Body Technician at Alloy Collision Centre in Saskatoon. We value a talented, passionate employee who thrives in a family environment and has a proven record of excellence.

As the successful applicant you will review damage reports, plan repairs, and work with various vehicle brands. You will repair front-end components, bodies, doors and frames, and ensure a safe, high-quality result with strong customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Journeyperson Auto Body Technician certificate.
• Experience with a variety of vehicle brands is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team.
• Excellent time-management and prioritization abilities.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Review damage reports and repair cost estimates and plan work.
• Repair and replace front-end components, body parts, doors and frames.
• Hammer out dents and buckles using blocks and hammers.
• Use soldering equipment or filler to repair holes and seams.
• Remove damaged parts and bolt or weld replacements in place.
• Straighten bent frames and perform underbody work as needed.
• Repair or replace glass components such as windshields and windows.
• Inspect finished vehicles and test drive for proper handling.

• Have a valid Auto Body Technician Journeyperson certificate
• Have experience with a variety of vehicle brands
• Have great interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Possess superior time-management skills and is able to prioritize requests
• Have a proven record of helping to maintain a safe work environment
• Have superior communication and customer service skills

In this exciting role, you will

• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
• Repair and replace front end components, body components, door and frame and underbody components
• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
• Straighten bent frames frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs
• Repair or replace glass components such as seat frame assembly, carpets and floorboard insulation
• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
