Job summary

CSN DANA's Collision Centre in Fredericton is seeking an Auto Body Collision Technician to repair vehicles to OEM standards and restore structural integrity, function and appearance.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in collision repair, MIG welding experience, and a passion for cars. I-CAR training is a plus; flexible hours, ongoing training, and a supportive team are offered in a modern shop.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of previous collision repair experience is required.
• 2nd or 3rd year apprentice or Journeyman considered.
• I-CAR training is an asset.
• Experience in mig-welding for auto body repair.
• Team Player.

Responsibilities

• Review Damage report/ estimate and plan work to be performed.
• Thoroughly examine the Collision Damage (review the complete vehicle exterior body Panels).
• Disassembly and assembly of parts as per shop guidelines.
• Complete disassembly of the vehicle as per shop guidelines.
• Repair or replace damage to body panels and components, including Plastic, Steel and Aluminum.
• Ability to file, grind and sand repaired surfaces and use plastic filler to repair panels to match the original contour.
• Repair & Replace safety systems including air bag components, sensors, and various other electronic components.
• Repair or replace interior & exterior trim and components such as seats & Instrument panels.
• Ensure that all needed repairs are identified and completed as per the Repair Order.
• Restore Vehicle to OEM specifications
• Verify repaired vehicles are checked for compliance for safety and quality standards.
• Ability to prepare repaired & new panels for primer.
• Ability to prepare primed panels for paint including sanding and masking to prevent overspray.
• Mix and apply paint & clear coat to match the vehicles color and texture.

CSN Collision / DANA's Collision Centre is looking for an Auto Body Collision Technician to join our team. The Auto Body Collision Technician must be able to take a vehicle in a damaged state and repair or restore damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance. The applicant is detail-oriented and can multitask to accommodate shifting priorities. The Technician reports to the Operations Manager

Primary Objectives of the Auto Body Collision Technician:
