Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Autism Staffing Clerk is responsible for providing a broad range of administrative support services to Autism Programs in accordance with the mission and values and the policies and procedures for this service.

Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum education of Grade 12 diploma or certificate.
  • Post-secondary education with a focus on Human Resource Management; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of the HRIS Scheduling software system.
  • Minimum of two years' previous experience working as a staffing clerk, preferably in a health care setting.
  • Strong computer capabilities with experience in using Microsoft Office products and applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access, Outlook and Internet browsers.
  • Experience in performing a wide range of administrative tasks and demonstrates strong organizational, time management and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience working with employees and managers in an effective, collaborative and professional manner.
  • Basic knowledge of human resources related legislations and collective agreements is an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Quality services are evident when professional communication, timeliness, accuracy, ethical awareness/sensitivity, confidentiality are consistently demonstrated as required by legislation and program/service standards.
  • Contacts all appropriate parties (clients, staff, external partners) with relevance to the changed schedules.
  • Responds in various communication modes to staff, client and external partner inquiries regarding their monthly schedules of services.
  • Enters all appropriate data into the scheduling system and indicated changes to client service on the hard copy of the client schedule.
  • Tracks individual usage of vacation, statutory holidays, overtime banks etc. and informs manager when levels are inconsistent with the requested time off.
  • Files all required documentation regarding scheduling services and follows up if required.
  • Checks all staff mileage forms for accuracy, recruit supervisor signatures and submits mileage to payroll.
  • Provides photocopy, fax, departmental mail and electronic mail. Assists in the collection of data and preparation of reports as requested by Program Management.
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures of St.Amant and assists with special projects as assigned.

Conditions of Employment
