Job summary

A major sports and entertainment venue in Ottawa is seeking an Inclusion Coach to provide support for the Autism Moves program. The role involves ensuring a safe and inclusive environment, mentoring staff, and adapting activities to the needs of participants with autism. Candidates should have experience in behavior management and working with youth in therapeutic settings. This position requires availability on weekends and weeknights.

Qualifications

  • Experience with children and youth in sports or therapeutic settings.
  • Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Availability to work weekends and weeknights.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as onsite behaviour specialist providing intervention strategies.
  • Develop weekly lessons considering varying ability levels.
  • Collaborate with Program Leader on activity adaptations.
  • Monitor participant progress and provide feedback.
  • Ensure safety and well-being of participants at all times.
