Job summary

Reverse Logistics Group (RLG) Canada is seeking an Audit Transportation Specialist in Brampton on a 6–12 month contract. You will work with the Audit Operations Team to ensure safe and efficient delivery of auditing supplies, including receipt and collection of audit samples in blue box materials.

The role requires driving a 20ft box truck, completing pre/post-trip inspections, and maintaining high safety and route quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Basic routing and logistics understanding.
  • Experience driving a 20ft commercial box truck.
  • Knowledge of Hours of Service regulations.
  • Valid G-class license with clean driving record.
  • At least 1 year of commercial driving experience.
  • Ability to safely operate equipment (e.g., pallet jack).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the audit sample schedule.
  • Operate a 20ft box truck to collect audit samples across Ontario.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation.
  • Report mechanical issues to Supervisor promptly.
  • Maintain route quality as directed by management.
  • Adhere to safety standards and vehicle operation rules.
  • Communicate hazards to Supervisor before tasks.
  • Keep vehicle clean (cab interior/exterior).
  • Report accidents or incidents immediately.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and wear PPE at all times.

About the role

This is a 6 - 12 month contract position.

The Audit Transportation Specialist will be working closely with the Audit Operations Team, to ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery of auditing supplies, including receipt and collection of audit samples composed of blue box materials.

  • Collaborating on the audit sample schedule
  • Operate a 20ft commercial box truck collecting audit samples in super sacs across Ontario
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and other documentation requested by Supervisor daily
  • Communicate vehicle mechanical problems to Supervisor immediately
  • Maintain route quality standards as predetermined by management
  • Follow all safety standards, vehicle checks and precautions in performance of all duties
  • Comply with all company rules on safety and vehicle operation including any required Recycling Facility (RF) specific rules or regulations.
  • Communicate any potential hazards in delivering/picking up sacs to Supervisor prior to performing task
  • Maintain clean vehicle by cleaning cab interior and exterior
  • Report all accidents or incidents to Supervisor immediately
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor, manner and appearance at all times
  • Ensure that all required personal protective equipment be worn at all times.
  • May be required to work overtime and overnight stays may be required
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by management
What we need from you
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
  • Have basic understanding of routing and logistics
  • Must have experience driving a 20ft commercial box truck
  • Must have an understanding of Hours of ServiceMust be familiar with pre and post trip inspections
  • Possess a valid G – Class License with a clean abstract
  • Minimum one (1) year of Commercial driving experience
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment (ie. pallet jack)
