Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Atmospheric Sciences Team Lead to mentor a skilled group of environmental professionals and deliver complex atmospheric projects across Atlantic Canada from Dartmouth, NS, to other Atlantic offices. You will oversee staff development, performance management, and workload planning while supporting business growth.

The role requires leadership experience in atmospheric sciences, strong client communication, and a passion for health, safety, and quality.

Qualifications

Leadership experience managing teams and staff development.
Experience delivering atmospheric science projects within consulting.
Strong communication and client engagement skills.
Commitment to health, safety and quality procedures.
Valid driver’s license.
Proficiency in French is an asset.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of Atmospheric Sciences practitioners, mentoring staff.
Support workload planning and resource balancing across the team.
Contribute to team growth through recruitment and onboarding.
Lead the performance review process for individuals on your team.
Chair regular team meetings to support communication and collaboration.
Champion safety culture and adherence to health, safety, and quality procedures.
Lead and manage atmospheric sciences project work in air quality, acoustics, climate, or lighting as applicable.
Guide day-to-day project delivery including data management, analysis, report preparation, and client communication.
Support proposals with budgets, scopes of work, schedules, and study methodologies.
