Job summary

The University of Alberta is seeking energetic, customer service oriented team members to join our Event Staff for the 2026-27 conference season and playoffs. Roles include event ushering/security and alcohol/merchandise sales at U of A basketball, football, hockey, rugby, soccer and volleyball games.

Shifts are typically scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings from late August through March. All roles contribute to delivering an exciting atmosphere for our student-athletes and fans while

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred for event staff roles.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced arena environment.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends during the season.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ushering and security at athletic events.
• Sell alcohol and merchandise at games (where permitted).
• Support fans and ensure a safe, exciting venue.

Location - This role is in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus and South Campus, Edmonton. Work also takes place at Silent Ice Centre, Nisku.

Roles include event ushering/security, and alcohol/merchandise sales at U of A basketball, football, hockey, rugby, soccer and volleyball games. Shifts are typically scheduled for Friday and Saturday evenings throughout the course of the season (late August - March). All roles are crucial to ensuring an exciting atmosphere at our events for both the benefit of our student-athletes and our fans.
