Job Description
  • Coordinate and oversee the activities of Christmas Kettle Campaign volunteers on evenings and Saturdays.
  • Coordinate the schedule for Kettle volunteers and respond to emergency absences on evenings and Saturdays.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with kettle sites, encourage volunteers, respond to issues, and provide coverage as needed.
  • Deliver and pick up kettles to/from sites daily, ensuring the security of donations.
  • Host a kettle as required, ensuring necessary coverage for breaks.
  • Ensure kettle locations have adequate supplies of literature and promotional materials.
  • Represent The Salvation Army in a positive, professional manner.
  • Perform other position-related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Completed High School or equivalent
  • Prior related experience is an asset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced office setting
  • Ontario Class “G” Driver’s license, own vehicle and insurance, and a copy of a current driver’s abstract satisfactory to The Salvation Army is required
  • Provide an original Background Check with vulnerable sector screening satisfactory to The Salvation Army (national CPIC or local police detachment)
  • Support for and understanding of the mission and purpose of The Salvation Army

Compensation and How to Apply

Compensation: The target hiring range for this position is $17.60 to $20.64 with a maximum of $24.77. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
