What is the opportunity? The Trading Desk Support Associate is responsible for providing daily operational and analytical support to the derivatives and fixed income trading desk. The analyst will handle trade bookings, reconciliations, issue resolution, and reporting, acting as a key liaison between traders, operations, risk, compliance, and external counterparties.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and accurate capture, reconciliation, and settlement of trades across a range of derivative and cash products
  • Monitor trade lifecycle events, margin / collateral calls, and clearing workflows, escalating discrepancies or system issues promptly
  • Liaise with traders and operations to resolve trade breaks, confirmation mismatches, and reporting queries
  • Support regulatory and internal risk reporting processes; prepare daily desk position, P&L, and risk metrics
  • Assist with the maintenance and improvement of desk procedures, documentation, and control processes
  • Collaborate with IT and market data teams to troubleshoot system connectivity, validation, and platform upgrades
  • Participate in process automation initiatives and contribute to new product launches and desk enhancement projects
Must-have
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics or related discipline
  • 1–3 years’ experience supporting a trading desk, operations, or middle-office environment with direct exposure to derivatives / capital markets products
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Solid understanding of trade lifecycle events, clearing, settlement, and collateral management processes
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for OTC derivatives
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with major trading platforms (Bloomberg, Murex etc.) and scripting / automation tools
Nice-to-have
  • Insurance or asset management desk experience
