Tax Specialist, Tax Preparation Services – 2 Month Contract

How does the role impact the organization?

This role is primarily responsible for the review of Personal (T1) and/or Trust (T3) tax returns of Raymond James clients. We are currently seeking seasonal Tax Specialists to provide support during periods of high volume for a duration of 1–2 months in March and April.

What Will Your Role Be Responsible For
  • Reviewing personal tax returns for Raymond James investment clients in a timely and accurate manner
  • Reviewing information gathered from clients, CRA online portal and internal reports
  • Reviewing electronic working paper files of all tax documentation used to support the tax return, prior to filing
  • Providing review notes to tax return preparers and ensuring outstanding issues are resolved prior to filing
  • Corresponding with clients or Financial Advisors/Agents to discuss outstanding information
  • Handling and responding to email enquiries related to tax returns
What do we expect from you?
To qualify for this opportunity you possess:
  • Minimum 3 years of public accounting firm experience, with at least 2 years working in Canadian taxation
  • Canadian CPA designation
  • Experience in reviewing Canadian Personal (T1) tax returns and Canadian Trust (T3) tax returns
  • Proficiency with CCH TaxPrep, CRA online portal, MS Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to work within deadlines in a high-volume and demanding environment while maintaining a high level of service and meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated email, videoconferencing and telephone etiquette and relationship‑management skills

Salary Range: $22–25 per hour

Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job requirements.
