Job summary

Olympus in Ontario seeks a Veterinarian to become the sole practitioner at a busy clinic as the current DVM retires. The role offers a generous compensation package and full-time or part-time options, with a focus on advancing medicine and delivering exceptional client service to a large client base.

The candidate will perform exams, diagnose and treat, communicate plans, and maintain records, while staying current on veterinary advances and mentoring the staff.

Qualifications

  • DVM degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Builds rapport with clients by listening to concerns and empathizing.
  • Performs exams and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures delivering high quality care.
  • Communicates treatment plans and preventive care with clients.
  • Maintains medical/surgical records and logs per protocols.
  • Stays current on new veterinary medical information.
  • Assists in developing the paraprofessional team for quality care.
  • Present a positive image of the hospital in the community.

Job description

We are now seeking for a Veterinarian to join our amazing team as the sole practicioner for a busy clinic. The current DVM is retiring and this is an amazing opportunity for that special someone who is looking for a new challenge in their career.

Compensation

Compensation range is between $150k-$200k (based on experience) per annum.

In this role you will advance the quality of medicine in the practice and continue to provide exceptional client service to our LARGE client base.

Responsibilities
  • Builds rapport with clients by gathering information and listening to, and empathizing with their concerns.
  • Performs physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
  • Communicates with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs.
  • Maintains client/patient medical/surgical records and makes certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols.
  • Stays current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine.
  • Assists in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
  • Present a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Skills and Basic Qualifications
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in Ontario.
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding veterinary code of ethics.
  • Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
  • Any experience level is encouraged to apply!
