Dana Canada Corporation is seeking an Associate Product Design Engineer to support the design and development of thermal management technologies for electrified vehicles at our Oakville Tech Center (located at Kerr Street, Oakville ON).

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to a Product Engineering Team Lead, the successful applicant’s responsibilities will include:
  • Evaluating technology trends to align Dana development with changes in the automotive market
  • Interacting with customers to develop thermal management solutions specific to their applications
  • Evaluating customer specifications and requirements to generate inputs to the design cycle
  • Working with the cross‑functional teams to design heat exchangers and manufacturing processes
  • Initiate CAD requests, review technical drawings and perform tolerance analyses
  • Apply APQP methodologies throughout the product development cycle
  • Develop and maintain test plans (DVP&R) and define test procedures
  • Coordinate with simulation (CAE) teams and testing laboratories
  • Managing prototype builds, including component sourcing and validation of parts
  • Providing Engineering input, including bill of material and development costs, to support product costing
  • Supporting production launches at manufacturing sites across North America, Europe and Asia

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the Automotive Industry with a focus on Electrification
  • Eligible for P.Eng. registration with the Professional Engineers of Ontario
  • Strong organizational, analytical and decision‑making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the APQP process and GD&T is an asset
  • Experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Proficiency in English required; German, Korean, or Japanese language skills are an asset
