Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional client service and act as a primary contact for clients and talent.
  • Ensure delivery of engagements, workshops, keynotes, and services.
  • Manage multiple project timelines and budgets within gross profit margins.
  • Maintain records and project tracking systems.
  • Lead internal meetings, set next steps, and track action items.
  • Handle talent contracts, liaise with accounting, payroll, and unions.
  • Assist with tech riders, travel arrangements, and onsite support.
  • Support the Stages team at the request of the Senior Producer.

Position Summary

If your ultimate career goal is to become a producer, becoming an Associate Producer at The Second City may be the perfect role for you!

The Associate Producer will work closely with the Second City Works team in matters of operations and logistics. The Associate Producer will assist the Senior Producer with client relations, talent management, payroll, developing/finalizing contract terms and project details.

Having strong communication skills is essential to be successful in this role. In addition to working with our producers, the Associate Producer will also be in close contact with creative teams and all casts.

This is a full-time, salaried position reporting to the Senior Producer of The Second City, with a competitive benefits package, retirement plan and PTO included (amongst other company perks!).

Key Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)
  • Provide exceptional client service on all assigned accounts, serving as a key point of contact for clients and talent from the start to the end of each engagement.
  • Ensure seamless execution and high-quality delivery of client engagements, workshops, keynotes, and professional services products.
  • Manage multiple project timelines and individual processes simultaneously, balancing competing priorities and ensuring deliverables remain on track throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain project timelines and budgets in accordance with agreed-upon gross profit margins, escalating potential risks or changes as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and project tracking systems throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Run agendas and establish clear next steps for internal meetings, tracking action items and following up with stakeholders to move conversations and deliverables forward.
  • Issuing and filing all talent contracts, and follow up with accounting, payroll, and unions as needed.
  • Assist with advancing tech rider(s) with venues.
  • Assist with travel arrangements.
  • On site support during corporate workshops, keynotes and professional services products.
  • Supporting the Stages team, at the request of the Senior Producer.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in arts management or administration is highly recommended.
  • 3+ years industry experience preferred.
  • Stage management experience preferred.
  • Experience processing payroll a plus.
  • Experience with Actors’ Equity Association an asset.
  • Highly detail oriented (we aren’t opposed to nit-picky individuals!).
