Associate, Private Equity Sponsor Coverage Group, Specialized Financial Services
The Associate is responsible for contributing to the profitable growth and quality of the Bank’s Commercial Credit portfolio. This includes highly complex and customized financial solutions by supporting the Director and Associate Directors, Private Equity Sponsor Coverage Group in credit application write‑up, collecting and assimilating information necessary to make credit decisions, conducting financial modelling (financial and credit analysis), and supporting the “Deal Team” with company and industry analysis.
The Associate may have direct contact with clients and will assist the Director and Associate Director in all aspects of their business development activities.
Contributes to the overall success of the Private Equity Sponsor Coverage Group in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
Contribute to Commercial loan portfolio growth and profitability by:

Assist in the documentation and closing of authorized transactions by:
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture is considered in day‑to‑day activities and decisions.
Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day‑to‑day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk. Including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
