You will also provide guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support operational excellence across CPP Investments' private markets portfolio.

The Team

The Real Assets and Private Investment Operations team supports CPP Investments' global private markets strategy by delivering operational expertise, governance, and controls across private market investments. Oversee new investment onboarding, including reviewing partnership agreements, subscription and disposition documents, and tax structuring agreements to ensure completeness and accuracy. Manage ongoing investment servicing activities, including capital calls, distributions, accounting entries, documentation, and authorization controls. Support quarterly and annual valuations for Private Equity Fund and Direct Investments, analyzing material valuation movements and ensuring accurate portfolio and P&L reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with reporting requirements. Identify and resolve operational discrepancies, assess risks, and provide recommendations to strengthen financial controls and operational processes, escalating issues as appropriate. Lead process improvement initiatives, including workflow optimization, automation, and enhanced controls, while building effective relationships with investment teams, external asset managers, and cross-functional partners. Supervise, coach, and mentor junior colleagues, support daily team activities, build expertise in the Private Investments domain, and act as a subject matter resource for Investment Operations and accounting matters while contributing to special projects.
