Job summary

CIBC seeks an Associate, Marketing Client Strategy within the Capital Markets team in Toronto. You will assist with production of marketing assets and support marketing programs, working closely with the Wealth Solutions team to enhance the brand and client experience.

This on-site, full-time role requires 5+ years in digital marketing or marketing strategy, with proficiency in Excel, Braze, Google Analytics, and marketing platforms.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a Digital Marketing or Marketing Strategy role.
  • Experience executing marketing campaigns and bringing concepts to life.
  • Experience in financial services marketing is a strong asset.
  • Proficiency with analytical and marketing platforms including Excel, Braze, GA, Google Ads, LinkedIn.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing Strategy – define and own product marketing plans for Wealth Solutions, incl. content production and distribution (brochures, newsletters).Direct marketing programs including email, social media, digital advertising (SEM).
  • Marketing Reporting & Analytics – monthly/quarterly/year-end reports; website traffic, email campaigns, ad hoc analytics; competitive insights.
  • Continuous Improvement – streamline processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a member of the Client Strategy team in Capital Markets, the Associate, Marketing Client Strategy will work with the team to assist with the production of various marketing assets and assist with the execution of various marketing programs, working very closely with the Wealth Solutions team. This is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that provides extensive exposure to the Capital Markets business. You have demonstrated ability in bringing creative concepts to fruition with strong attention to detail. The Associate, Marketing Client Strategy is focused on producing high quality work to help enhance CIBC Capital Market’s brand and client experience.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $75,870 to $100,000.

The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.

How You’ll Succeed
  • Marketing Strategy – Help to define and own the product marketing plans for the Wealth Solutions business. This will include the strategic planning and execution of the tactics within the plan to support the ongoing growth of our Wealth Solutions products, including Canadian Depositary Receipts (CDRs) and Structured Notes. This includes support for the development of marketing content, the production and distribution of that content: marketing collateral (brochures, monthly newsletters, etc.), digital content on the website, enhancements to achieving optimal SEO and AI related search. Planning for and the execution of direct marketing programs including email marketing (leveraging a marketing platform, i.e. braze), social media marketing, digital advertising, including SEM, etc.
  • Marketing Reporting & Analytics – Production of monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting for marketing, related activities (website traffic, email campaigns, etc.) and ad hoc analytics requests. Competitive intelligence gathering, providing reporting on competitive activity and relevant insights.
  • Continuous Improvement – Supporting the activities that help the team run better and more efficiently. Propose and implement recommendations to streamline processes, in order to increase efficiency and reduce potential for errors.
Who You Are
  • You can demonstrate experience. 5 years+ experience in a Digital Marketing or Marketing Strategy role. You have demonstrated experience in executing marketing campaigns and seeing creative concepts come to life. You have the ability to manage the development of a broader range of marketing assets and experience in financial services marketing. Proficiency with various analytical and marketing platforms including Excel, braze, Google Analytics, Google Adword, LinkedIn, etc. Strong knowledge and/or experience working in the investment products and services and capital markets is a strong asset.
