About the Role

The Associate, Marketing and Communications develops and delivers initiatives that generate awareness of Lifelong Learning and the Continuing Studies portfolio. The role writes, edits, and creates content for email campaigns, social media, online ads and print material; updates website content; manages a social media editorial calendar; supports online advertising; and coordinates various marketing activities, including photo shoots and occasional community events. The role works collaboratively with the marketing and programs teams, as well as interacting with external audiences to support student recruitment, retention and community engagement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Marketing, Journalism, or related field, and two years of related experience, including experience in social media management, email marketing, advertising and copywriting; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  • Excellent ability to write and edit communications content for a variety of audiences and mediums.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media marketing and advertising.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, HootSuite, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, web analytics applications, and online content management systems (e.g., Adobe Experience Manager).
  • Good knowledge of email marketing best practices and email marketing systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
