Job summary

A leading financial services provider in Southwestern Ontario is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to build and maintain scalable telemetry data systems. Applicants should have 1 to 3 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, automation skills with Terraform and Ansible, and some cloud exposure, preferably in Azure. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement and a competitive salary range between $60,900 and $113,100 CAD.

Join our Global Infrastructure and Engineering Team!

Our Observability and Monitoring Engineering team takes charge of crafting, implementing, and maintaining systems. These systems give deep access to the health and performance of our applications and infrastructure.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain scalable systems for collecting, processing, analyzing, and visualizing telemetry data (logs, metrics, and traces).
  • Engages in platform automation and orchestration, both from a technical standpoint and a process point of view by using configuration management and defining infrastructure as code.
  • Apply observability data to quickly diagnose and resolve production issues, minimizing downtime.
  • Uses monitoring tools to continuously monitor infrastructure components and ensure adequate performance.
  • Work with enterprise monitoring tools like New Relic, Dynatrace.
  • Scripting custom monitoring solutions & AI instrumentation as applicable.
  • Ensures proper security and compliance is in place.
Required Qualifications:
  • 1 to 3 years+ experience in Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Automation skills using Terraform & Ansible.
  • Must have some Cloud technology exposure, preferably Azure.
  • Sound problem solving and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to work independently and with team members from different backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, consultative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Aware of service management principles.
  • Experience working with Infrastructure technologies & capable of understanding application architecture.
  • Solutions oriented, proactively find opportunities for optimization, and committed to delivery to the team.

Salary range is expected to be between

$60,900.00 CAD - $113,100.00 CAD
