Job summary

Working closely with Portfolio Managers, you will translate research into practical portfolio decisions, leveraging automation and AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in investment research, quantitative analysis, data science, financial markets, or a related field.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Data Science, Quantitative Finance, Applied Mathematics, Statistics.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive insights from large and complex datasets.
• Experience with programming, data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools.
• Understanding of global financial markets, macroeconomic factors, portfolio construction, and risk management.
• Experience applying quantitative methods to investment research, forecasting, asset allocation, or portfolio management is preferred.
• Progress toward the CFA designation is considered an asset.
• Self-motivated with intellectual curiosity and passion for financial markets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to explain complex quantitative concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.

Job Details

TD Asset Management's Global Multi-Asset Strategy Team supports the management of approximately $100 billion in global multi-asset retail solutions while contributing to the growth of institutional mandates. The team conducts rigorous global macro research, combining top-down macroeconomic analysis with bottom-up security-level research to develop investment insights and portfolio strategies across asset classes.

Working closely with Portfolio Managers and investment professionals, the Associate will contribute to the research, development, and implementation of investment strategies through quantitative analysis, data-driven insights, and technology-enabled solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, exceptional quantitative skills, and a passion for applying data and research to investment decision-making.

This role is ideally suited for candidates with a strong quantitative foundation and an educational background in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Data Science, Quantitative Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
