A leading automotive technology company located in Canada, Ontario is seeking a Testing Engineer to execute functional tests on automotive components. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering and possess testing and validation experience, along with proficiency in English. Responsibilities include analyzing specifications, conducting tests, and generating reports.

Responsibilities
- Execution of functional tests for automotive plastic fuel tanks (refueling, volume characteristics, venting, environmental, ...) and Pentatonic Battery Housing (mechanical, environmental, ...).
- Analyze customers SOW’s for automotive components and definition of DVP/PVP.
- Definition and execution of sample and prototype build up and data acquisition.
- Test planning and set up, coordination, execution, evaluation and documentation of validation and development tests for automotive products.
- Ordering and supervision of external test.
- Creation of generic test standards and specifications in alignment with internal core functions, customer and suppliers considering vDVP.
- Product validation against internal and external specifications.
- Evaluation and interpretation of test results and definition of counter measures. Creation professional test reports.
- Reporting test results to the customer.
- Calculation of test and validation costs.
- Show robustness of products over lifecycle of development plans.
- Drive the customers buy in to follow generic development and validation (generic DVP/PVP, vDVP, HALT, ...).
- Technical link between Kautex development teams, validation and the customer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Chemistry, Physics) from an accredited college or university.
- Testing and Validation Experience.
- Professional experience in one of the following fields is preferred:
- Data acquisition and measurement technology (LabView, Python,…)
- Complex mechatronic systems, ideally Automotive
- Statistical mathematics
- Blow-/Injection-/Compression molding
- Fluid dynamics
- Thermodynamics
- Fluid English required.
- Willingness to travel (customer visits, test drives, supplier development, testing in plants, exchange with other validation teams, method and equipment development).
