Job summary

BMO U.S. is seeking an organized and proactive professional to manage events and sponsorships while supporting the onsite sales team. The role blends administrative rigor with hands‑on, client‑facing activities in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring strong communication, time management and collaboration skills, with 5–10 years in financial services and a willingness to work in office several days a week in Calgary or Toronto.

Qualifications

  • University degree; 5–10 years in financial services or asset management.
  • Canadian Securities Course completion or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Event planning and execution experience is important.
  • Project management experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and the investment industry is an asset.
  • Inventory and content management experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute client events and sponsorships.
  • Lead small salesperson-led events up to ~20 people.
  • Develop non-product value-add sales collateral (e.g., prospecting content, newsletters).
  • Partner with sales, events and leadership to ensure smooth processes and continuous improvement.
  • Support onsite sales team at the office (printing, shipping materials, prepping meetings).
  • Coordinate materials and logistics for meetings and engagements.
  • Manage shared repositories and knowledge resources.

Profile The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, process and service-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced sales environment while remaining flexible. They bring strong attention to detail, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to balance structured administrative work with hands‑on, onsite support. They display superior time management skills including the ability to prioritize work and are resourceful - can make connections with multiple pieces of information to come to an informed and sound conclusion on how to proceed with a given project. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a requirement. Finally, they are result‑oriented, having the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement. Preference will be given to candidates in Calgary or Toronto.

Key Responsibilities

  • Event and sponsorship management and execution: PM tours, client events, conferences.
  • Leads and execute small salesperson led events up to ~20 people.
  • Project manage development of non-product related value add sales collateral including practice management content (ie. Linked In for prospecting, Estate planning, price of advice, tax planning & advice etc), sales newsletters etc.
  • Partner closely with sales, events, and leadership teams to ensure smooth execution of key processes and initiatives and continuous improvement of sales support processes.
  • Support onsite sales team needs at the office, including printing, shipping sales materials, managing physical collateral, and ensuring readiness for meetings and client engagements.
  • Coordinate sales materials, promotional items, and logistics for small meetings, internal initiatives, and advisor-facing engagements.
  • Management of shared repositories (e.g. shared drives etc.)
  • Act as back‑up for key initiatives and others on team Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge University degree 5-10 years of experience in financial services, or asset management industry Canadian Securities Course completion or equivalent mandatory Event planning and execution experience important Experience in content development is important Project Management experience an asset Knowledge of regulatory requirements and the investment industry an asset Inventory and content management experience an asset Strong proficiency with Microsoft tools including CoPilot, Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • General understanding of investments and how sales driven firms operate 2-3 days per week in office.
  • Skills Fast paced and ever-changing environment requires candidate to be adaptable and agile Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong cross functional working relationships Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills Comfort with ambiguity Capable of multi‑tasking, prioritizing, and managing tight timelines in a matrix structure Ability to navigate in a sales environment Strong communications planning and proven end-to-end project management/implementation skills Strong verbal and written communications skills - ability to communicate in a clear, compelling manner Able to proactively identify opportunities and recommend solutions Results‑oriented approach - ability to set measurable targets and evaluate the success of initiatives.

Salary: $55,500.00 - $120,000.00

Pay Type: Salaried
